Seven-year-old Karla “Karlita” Rodriguez disappeared from Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 20, 1999. She was last seen in her neighborhood that evening, and more than 25 years later, she has never been found.
As investigators worked to uncover what happened, two major theories emerged. One focused on two brothers whose apartment was reportedly the destination of Karla’s scent when bloodhounds were used during the investigation. The other involved convicted serial killer Curtis Dean Anderson, whose vehicle contained a receipt suggesting he was in Las Vegas on the day Karla disappeared—just over a mile from her home.
